In India, in Orchha, we planted five trees in March 2023. We did this to fulfil EdiXion’s commitment to plant a tree for every book published. We chose to plant all five in Orchha to commemorate the beautiful human and artistic adventure that allowed us to raise the funds to build a school where some 80 children, aged between four and fourteen, have been studying since 2011. Their parents belong to the under-privileged caste and are below the poverty threshold.
The trees that are growing in Orchha are the fruit of our first five books. The books are: Balenciaga. The glamorous 1950s. Drawings from the iconic Maison | Miranda Fengyuan Zhang | Fotografía y Política. La Lucha por la democracia en Panamá | MinD/Body | Barbara Nahmad. Oltremare.
